Hello All!

We have been accepted for the YWAM SOE beginning June 27th, 2010!! Jake is busily getting the bus ready to be licensed as an RV, and I am homeschooling the girls and continuing to scale down. I have found that even if you have just bare necessities, when you times that by six...it still amounts to quite a bit of stuff!!! Please pray against burnout for us. All this change is not easy.

The girls are slowly but surely getting caught up with school. We should be done by the end of June-yay!

It has been going VERY well living with Jake's parents, and they did some remodeling and we have a bedroom again!!!

We would covet your prayers for our upcoming school. We have a short time ro raise a lot of money, but we are confident of God's provision. Also, our housing situation will be a bit different. All six of us will be in one room :) It is a large room with a queen bed and two sets of bunk beds. We have a large bathroom across the hall (that will be just for our family). The base is on 240 acres, so there won't be any problem parking the bus there. There is also a swimming pool and tennis courts on the property!!

Our lecture phase will go until until mid-September, and then we have outreach until just before Thanksgiving. For this school, there are options for outreach. It looks like there will be opportunity for Jake and I to work with a group called "Not for Sale" based in Minneapolis! (The Not For Sale Campaign equips and mobilizes Smart Activists to deploy innovative solutions to re-abolish slavery in their own backyards and across the globe.) This is really exciting to us. We are anxious to become more informed about how we can help victims of human trafficking.

You can check out their website at:  http://www.notforsalecampaign.org/

Being our outreach will most likely be nearby, we are hoping/planning to enroll the girls in public school there in Rockford. We then would like to stay on at the base as staff until the end of the girl's school year. So please be in prayer for that also. The only one that was dead against going to a new public school was Alyssa. I have also been apprehensive about a new school and middle school...etc. She spent some time in prayer and felt God telling her that public school is where she is to go this year so she can reach out to the kids there. We are continuing to pray, but think this is the route we will take.

We are in need of a nanny for the months of July and August. There is young lady that is currently praying about it and really wants to do it-so please join us in prayer for this as well!!

Wow, it's been awhile since our last update! Any questions or comments, please post them here or email us! Thanks :)
